Using SWUAK
Quick answers for the parts of the site that depend on browser permissions or outside data.
How do I change my weather location?
Open Weather and search for a city or ZIP code. To use the device’s location, select “Use my location” or enable it from Settings.
Why does Weather show Chicago?
Chicago is the default when no location has been selected or shared. It is replaced as soon as a city is chosen or location access is approved.
How do I stop SWUAK from using my location?
Open Settings and select “Stop using and forget.” That removes the saved coordinates from SWUAK. To revoke the browser permission itself, use the location control in your browser’s site settings.
Why is some information temporarily unavailable?
News, weather, radar, and markets depend on outside public services. A section may briefly be empty when one of those sources is delayed, offline, or rate-limited. Refreshing after a few minutes is usually enough.
How does the main search work?
The header search checks SWUAK pages, current news, market instruments, and weather locations. The results page can be filtered by type, date, relevance, newest, or oldest.
How do I return everything to normal?
Open Settings and choose “Reset site preferences.” This restores the Default appearance and removes the saved weather preference.
